What is IOS?

iOS (formerly iPhone OS) is a mobile operating system created and developed by Apple Inc. exclusively for its hardware. It is the operating system that presently powers many of the company's mobile devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. It is the second most popular mobile operating system globally after Android. iPad tablets are also the second most popular, by sales, against Android since 2013.

Originally unveiled in 2007 for the iPhone, iOS has been extended to support other Apple devices such as the iPod Touch (September 2007) and the iPad (January 2010). As of January 2017, Apple's App Store contains more than 2.2 million iOS applications, 1 million of which are native for iPads. When will iOS 11 be released?

Apple had released its most recent verison of IOS to the public in September 2016 after previewing at Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference that June, and released to developers following that event. If Apple follows its previous trends, IOS 11 can be expected in the WWDC 2017 where beta version will be available for the developers. IOS 11 is probably going to be released in September.

For installing the beta versin, one must be a 

 developer which requires $99, quite expensive.

     On screen Keyboard will be able to detect the presence of finger which will make typing a lot more easier job.

      Conference type calls will be made available for FaceTime.

   It has been believed that Apple has been launching drones to improve maps indoors as well as outdoors.

     IOS 11 is believed to support more than one apple ID in one device at once.
